Lisa Build LLC ("Lisa," "we," "us") operates lisa.build, a software service that helps home-service contractors create proposals, obtain electronic signatures, and collect payment. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this covers
Contractors — businesses that subscribe to and use Lisa. Customers — the homeowners and property owners who receive proposals, contracts, and invoices sent by a contractor through Lisa. Visitors — anyone visiting lisa.build.
Information we collect
- Contractor account information: name, business name, mobile number, email address, business address, license and insurance details, trade, service area, pricing preferences, and payment account details processed by our payment provider.
- Job and customer information supplied by the contractor: customer name, service address, phone number, email address, job scope, photographs, pricing, and related documents.
- Information a customer chooses to add to their job: photographs, documents (which may include insurance-claim or homeowners'-association material), an email address, questions, and the name and phone number of another person the customer asks to receive the job's messages. That person is messaged only after agreeing to receive the job's messages, and the agreement is recorded.
- Communications: calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages, emails, and voice notes exchanged with Lisa, used to create and manage jobs. Calls and voice notes are transcribed; the audio is not stored.
- Transaction information: proposal, signature, change-order, invoice, payment, and fee-statement records. Full payment card and bank account numbers are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by Lisa.
- Usage information: basic device, log, and interaction data from our website and hosted proposal pages.
How we use information
- To provide the service: generating proposals and contracts, sending them to customers, obtaining signatures, sending reminders, follow-ups, updates, and receipts on the contractor's behalf, answering a customer's questions about their job from its written record, and processing payments. Lisa is an artificial-intelligence service and says so whenever anyone asks.
- To maintain each contractor's records, defaults, and history so the service improves for that contractor over time.
- To operate, secure, support, and improve the platform, including fraud prevention and troubleshooting.
- To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Text messaging
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and messaging consent are used solely to deliver the service described in this policy.
Message frequency varies based on your job activity — typically a few messages per job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of messages; reply HELP for assistance.

Customers receive messages because they provided their phone number to a contractor during an estimate and agreed to receive their quote and related job messages by text. Contractors receive messages as part of operating their account.
How information is shared
- Between a contractor and that contractor's own customers — this is the core function of the service.
- Service providers who operate parts of the platform on our behalf (telecommunications, payment processing, cloud hosting, and AI processing), under contractual obligations limiting their use of the information.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
One contractor's customer information is never shared with another contractor. We may analyze aggregated, de-identified information across the platform to improve the service; such analysis never identifies an individual contractor, customer, or job.
Retention
We retain job, contract, and payment records for as long as an account is active and thereafter as needed for legal, tax, and recordkeeping purposes. Contractors may request an export or deletion of their data as described below.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and per-account data isolation. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Opt out of text messages by replying STOP to any message.
- Contractors may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of their account data. A full export of your jobs, customers, documents, and payments is available at any time by asking Lisa for it by text.
- Customers may direct requests regarding their information to the contractor who created the job, or contact us and we will assist.
Children
The service is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
